One of the three Pandas Hydrogen operated by Mantova Town Hall in the Project Zero Regio, co-financed by the European Commission, took part in the international Fuel Cell Vehicle (FCV) Parade from Malmö (Sweden) to Copenhagen (Denmark) November 30, 2009 . Panda Hydrogen 2 was accompanied by two Fiat Pandas, also owned by Regione Lombardia, but working with a conventional internal combustion engine using a mixture of hydrogen (30%) and methane (70%). Among the hydrogen FCVs taking part in the parade there were also two Honda FCX Clarity, a fleet of Daimler Class A and B, two General Motors HydroGen 4, one Toyota owned by the municipality of Malmö and prototypes proposed by automobile minors.

The FCVs parade started from the hydrogen refuelling station in Malmö, went on the streets of the Swedish town, crossed the Öresund Bridge and the 6 km tunnel that follows and the streets in Copenhagen to reach the newly open hydrogen refuelling station in the Danish capital.

After a brief stop, the cars continued the route in the city to the main courtyard of the Danish Parliament. After a welcome address held in a hall of the Parliament, the major automakers outlined their plans for development of hydrogen fuel cell cars, while the Danish and Swedish authorities presented the Scandinavian Hydrogen Highway Partnership, an ambitious development plan of infrastructure and hydrogen vehicles, which provides a motorway link between Norway, Sweden and Denmark full of 20 hydrogen stations, 15 satellite stations and an great fleet, consisting of 100 buses, 500 cars and 500 motor cars.

The parade, followed very closely by the media, wanted to send a message to the UN Conference on Climate Change (COP 15) in program 7 to 18 December 2009 in the Danish capital: the hydrogen cars can give significant contribution to the development of sustainable mobility and, consequently, the defence of the climate.

On the roads in Sweden and Denmark, the Panda Hydrogen was driven by Giampaolo Trevisani and Sandro Sutti, representatives of the Zero Regio Mantova Town Hall Working Group. The Italian delegation was composed also of representatives of Regione Lombardia, Region Abruzzi, Sapio company, the Federation of Scientific and Technical Associations (FAST) in Milan, as well as technicians from the Fiat Research Center (CRF), one journalists and one tester of Quattroruote, the most important magazine on vehicles in Italy.
