Class 10a of Adolf-Reichwein-Gymnasium, Heusenstamm visited Infraserv Höchst on 26.05.2008 to learn about the Hydrogen activities at Infraserv.

The class teacher Dr. Krebs prepared the students before hand on the subject of hydrogen as an alternative energy source lectures were given to the visiting students on hydrogen and fuel-cell technology.

The visit began with a lecture in the old in famous Peter-Behrens building.

This introductony lecture related energy, hydrogen and the fuel-cell-technology and the project ZeroRegio partly financed by the European Commission.

Students had an opportunity to ask questions and there was an active discussion on the subject.

Then the group vistited the hydrogen centre as well as the Agip refuellingstation at the southgate of the industry park.

The visit concluded with a round tour of the Höchst Industry Park.

On Februrary 27th 40 pupils (age group 12-14) of the Wolfgang Ernst Gymnasium from Büdingen visited the Industrial Park Höchst.

The program that was prepared for the pupils was focused on Hydrogen and FuelCell Technology.

First they visited the historic auditorium in the main building of Infraserv where Achim Boening gave them a presentation on the Zero Regio Project.

The presentation was followed by an active discussion and the questions of the pupils on hydrogen, fuel cells and Zero Regio were answered by the speaker and Matthias Habig, manager of the technical gases division.

Afterwards the hydrogen centre with the new 900 bar ionic compressor, the transport pipeline and the filling station were shown to the pupils.

They continued with an excursion through the Industrial park and visits of the Chlor-Alkaline-Electrolysis plant which produces Hydrogen as a bi-product and the BASF Fuel Cells pilot plant specialising in the high temperature PEM membrane.
